Market shares

Market share details supported by UNICEDE/2.

The format of the UNICEDE/2 file is slightly different to permit the importing of market shares. Sums insured, number of risks, and premiums must be imported separately using the standard File body format.

Note:

You can include records from multiple supported countries in one file by using Data levels and Area tag type 98 or 99 in the UNICEDE/2 file header.

Notes

1

AreaTag

Identifies the area (i.e., country) and the subarea (e.g., county or CRESTA zone) in which the risks represented in this record are located.

The AreaTag value used must be consistent with the AreaTagType from the UNICEDE/2 file header.

Identifies the peril covered for the risks in this record.

Note: The data in the fields that follow should represent this peril. Data for different perils should be reported separately in different records.

3

The valid Line Of Business codes vary by country. When reviewing the codes for a specific country, please note that the available lines of business are sometimes different for Market Share imports.

4

Identifies the coverages included for the risks in this record.

When importing market share data, the coverage code should be set to MS.

Note:

Updated market share UNICEDE2 files can be found on the Verisk Client Support website at www.air-worldwide.com. Prior to CATRADER version 8.0, Market Share imports were supported ONLY for the U.S. and Canada.

For example, a UNICEDE2 file importing market shares for the U.S. could contain rows that look like this:

01-02000,PWS,MO,MS,100,0,0,0,0,Florida

01-02000,PWS,COM,MS,100,0,0,0,0,Florida

01-02000,PWS,AUTO,MS,100,0,0,0,0,Florida

In Turkey, the data could look like this:
